The Third Intifada

it's HERE it's NOW and it's going GLOBAL

Welcome to T3I - The Third Intifada

Welcome
to resisters of invasion, oppression and occupation, resisters of racism, nationalism, terrorism, genocide and ethnic cleansing.

I hope to offer in these pages useful information and inspiration that can help us all take responsibility for identifying and rejecting what is wrong and then standing up and supporting what is right in the world today.

My name is Ethne Megan (aka Salmah Umm Zainab) and I am a convert to Islam as of the Summer of 2006. Islam has become my practical guide and my spiritual inspiration for seeking social justice.

Whether yours is derived from the same or some other source, I hope we can work together and support each other in resisting and rejecting that which harms humanity as well as learning, exploring and establishing better alternatives
politically and economically

We Are All Palestinians
by Carlos Latuff

   What is
  The Third Intifada
       ?

~ Intifada ~
is Arabic and means
"Rising Up"
&
"Shaking Off"

It's what you do when you are oppressed
and you don't want to be oppressed any more.

A third Intifada
is what Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal called for in response to the 3-week Israeli massacre unleashed on Gaza on the 27 December 2008 Sabbath during Chanukah.

Ewa Jansiewicz

Gaza Project Co-coordinator for the
  Free Gaza Movement

 had this to say::

The third Intifada being urged now has to be our intifada too. As Israel steps up its destruction of the Palestinian people, we need to step up our reconstruction of our resistance, our movements, of our communities in our own counties, where so many of us live in alienation and isolation. We need to be the third intifada – people here need more and say repeatedly that they need more than the demonstrations, because they are not stopping the killing here. Demonstrations alone, are not stopping the killing here.

....There are concrete steps that people can take, learning from the lessons of the first Intifada
and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign to dismantle the South African Apartheid regime. Strategies of popular resistance, strikes, occupations, direct actions. From the streets into the offices, factories and headquarters is where we need to take this fight, to the heart of decision-makers that are supposedly making decisions on our behalf and the companies making a killing out of the occupation.
The third intifada needs to be a global intifada.

The Victory of the Palestinian Resistance &
Israel's Unilateral Withdrawal

....Yes the souls of the children and resistance fighters of the Warsaw ghetto...found a new voice and have been resurrected in Gaza. And with resurrection, comes a new life and a new will to struggle and to change the world.

Long Live Palestine !!
Towards a Global Intifada !!

Who's Afraid of The Global Intifada ?

 Who's afraid ?
                                         Who should be ?

Phyllis Chesler . . . The Global Intifada
....The reality is that the Intifada has gone global, and that master propagandists have hijacked both the world media and the western academy.

....The problem is this: The entire "politically correct" Western Academy--including the Feminist Academy--has been fully and fatally Palestinianized.

....Today, they deal in lies, not truth, they deal in hate speech, not truth speech. They exaggerate complex and tragic realities--in the service of the most vulgar Jew-hatred, and in the service of death. They do not stand for democracy or freedom or tolerance but stand against it.

....Indeed, the "good" people, those who really want human suffering and injustice to end, have made an alliance with fascists and terrorists to bring down western civilization--and why? Because it is not perfect, because it has not yet redeemed the entire world.

....Academics and intellectuals must stand up proudly and loudly, and say that Zionism is not racism or colonialism or Apartheid; that it is the liberation movement of the oppressed and genocidally persecuted Jewish people....

Jeff Weintraub . . . The World According to the
                                "Palestine Solidarity
                                 Movement" (Global Intifada)

....At all events, this propaganda phrase is just a distraction from the main thrust of the piece, which makes it straightforwardly clear that the goal to be pursued is the elimination of Israel, and that the purpose of international agitation and propaganda in "solidarity" with Palestinians is to promote this goal by undermining the legitimacy of Israel's existence per se. Drawing the analogy between Israel and apartheid-era South Africa is a key element in this propaganda strategy....

Adam Katz
. . . Constitutionalism and the Global
                           Intifada

There is at least one group out there which calls itself the “Global Intifada,” and the title has already emerged more broadly as a slogan aimed at gathering together all the strands of resistance to the West, or capitalism, or America, or the Jew-Crusader conspiracy or whatever the “system” passes as these days in the “resistant” imaginary. (See also this article by Phyllis Chessler

It is altogether fitting that the name given by Palestinians to their rebellion against Israel be used to designate this new global synthesis, tying together the “anti-globalization” movement, the Islamic jihad, remnants of the socialist and communist projects, the human rights NGOs and what we might call the collective “defense attorney” of all these movements:  the global media and liberal-left parties within Western democratic systems.

Both the origins of the Palestinian liberation movement and its contemporary degeneration into death cult reflect in extremely instructive ways upon the logic of today’s global Left, destructive, nihilistic, parasitic, and yet extremely effectively plugged into a wide range of networks representative of our post-Auschwitz moral and political order.

 And who's not ?
                                          And who shouldn't be ?

Sascha . . . The Global Intifada
....As I have finally begun to explore the complex issues around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it has become clear to me how important it is that I, and my community of Jewish and non-Jewish friends, raise our voices in support for the emerging BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) movement in solidarity with the people of Palestine. I have many reasons for this.

As a Jew I feel a responsibility to speak out against crimes against humanity that are seemingly being carried out in my name and the name of my people. Though I was not raised religiously, I was raised with an understanding that I had a responsibility to know my history and feel a connection to other Jews.

....I feel absolutely no solidarity with the state of Israel nor any other nation that oppresses the people under its rule.

....Finally, I believe in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that a “commitment to peace, social justice and the centrality of Israel for the Jewish people” is in fact a manipulative contradiction in terms, and that “liberalism, equality and human rights” are nothing but hollow and tired slogans without actual justice and accountability for the oppressed and exiled....

Gabriel Ash . . . Global Empire Meets Global
                            Intifada

From ten to thirty million people worldwide took to the streets on February 15th [2003] to express their revulsion at the White House's war fever. It was without doubt the biggest protest ever. The rise of a world public was the necessary counterpart to the transformation of the U.S. into a world empire. Global protest was born earlier, but Saturday's protest was the moment the masses of the world looked in the mirror and recognized themselves as members of one planet with one supreme interest, to live in peace with each other....Finally, Palestinian flags and signs were in the rally not as a separate agenda, but because many understand that there is a strong connection between the planned attack on Iraq and the repressive regime in Palestine....

Al-Awda . . . Global Justice Intifada: A Call to Action
for Justice in the Middle East
The SUSTAIN (Stop US Tax-funded Aid to Israel Now) Campaign, Jews for Global Intifada, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee - San Francisco, and Left Turn would like to invite all those struggling for justice for the people of the Middle East-be they Palestinians resisting Israeli occupation, Tunisian peasants demanding land reform, Iraqis fighting genocidal sanctions, or Egyptian workers protesting privatization-to form affinity groups (i.e. Jews for Justice, Students for Divestment, etc.) and join together in a Global Justice Intifada cluster (a number of affinity groups organized around an issue/theme) for the marches, rallies, workshops, and teach-ins protesting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB)...

....The IMF/WB, US imperialism, Israeli occupation, and undemocratic Arab regimes are part of the same system of global apartheid (globalization) which serves to enrich and uphold the power and privileges of a minority of people while denying the rest of humanity their basic human rights, dignity, peace and justice. By organizing a Global Justice Intifada cluster we can ally ourselves with the worldwide movement that, since the 1999 protests in Seattle against the World Trade Organization (WTO), has begun to pose a serious challenge to this unjust and unequal system.

Happy-Happy In Hope And Voluntary Servitude
by Zahir Ibrahim
18 September 2008

....But what about the “Voluntary Servitude” in the East and the Global South that is egregiously loaded with almost 3/4th of all the natural resources of the planet and is yet also home to 3/4th of the world's poverty stricken humanity? Surely the hungry man unable to feed his family knows the price of “cake” quite well? And yet, he continues to persist in enabling his own servitude? What prevents La Boétie's prescription today when the same principle exemplarily brought down the majesty of the British Empire in its own Jewel in the Crown less than four score years past?

The answer must remain the same as during La Boétie's time – the threshold of the masses' tolerance hasn't been crossed yet – the poor among mankind having been endowed with infinite patience and eternal hope! It is this “hope”, and man's misplaced optimism due to it, that primarily enables one's “Voluntary Servitude”. Therefore, despite the simple mechanism of overthrowing it – albeit only collectively – being quite naturally available to man as rationally demonstrated by Boétie, “hope” perniciously incapacitates him Read more...(scroll down)
